Editorial Policy

Last reviewed: October 24, 2026

This Editorial Policy explains how PAVE.pk decides what to publish, how we research and check information about the Pakistan Accelerated Vehicle Electrification (PAVE) programme and Pakistan’s electric vehicle market, and how we correct mistakes. It applies to every article, guide, price page, tool and news update on the site.

Our Editorial Mission

To give Pakistani citizens – students, riders, families, women, small businesses and overseas Pakistanis – accurate, simple and up-to-date guidance on the PAVE scheme and electric vehicles, so they can apply correctly on the official portal, understand their options and avoid scams.

Our Core Editorial Principles

  • Accuracy: facts are checked against official or reliable sources.
  • Clarity: plain English, step-by-step instructions and tables.
  • Independence: no government body, bank or dealer controls our content.
  • Transparency: we name our authors, sources and limits.
  • Reader safety: we always point readers to the official portal and warn about scams.

Who Our Content Is For

First-time EV buyers, PAVE applicants, students and young people, delivery and ride-hailing riders, rickshaw and loader operators, government employees and overseas Pakistanis interested in the scheme.

Scope: What We Cover

  • PAVE registration, login, status, balloting/waiting list and Phase 2 updates
  • Subsidy amounts, financing, bank lease and installment options
  • Federal and provincial EV schemes (PM Electric Bike Scheme, CM Punjab E-Bike Scheme, e-taxi and green credit programmes)
  • Electric bike, scooter, rickshaw and car prices and specifications in Pakistan
  • Charging cost, battery care, resale and ownership guides

Types of Content We Publish

How We Research Our Content

We start from the responsible authority – the Engineering Development Board, Ministry of Industries & Production, State Bank of Pakistan, Economic Coordination Committee, or the relevant provincial department – and the official portal pave.gov.pk. Established Pakistani news organisations are used to report decisions and statements. Full details are in our Sources & Research Methodology.

Our Fact-Checking Standards

  • Every subsidy figure, quota, deadline and eligibility rule needs a source
  • Numbers are copied from the source, not estimated
  • Unconfirmed claims are labelled as reported or proposed
  • Links are tested before publishing

When Sources Conflict

If two reports give different figures (for example different subsidy amounts), we report the official figure. If there is no official confirmation, we show both and say which is unconfirmed.

Official Information Always Takes Priority

Notices on pave.gov.pk and official government statements override anything published on PAVE.pk. Readers should always confirm before paying money or submitting documents.

Writing and Language Standards

We write in simple English, explain technical terms (OEM, CKD, NICOP, BS-16), use tables and lists, and avoid sensational or misleading language.

Headlines and Titles

Titles describe the page honestly. We do not use words like “official” for our own pages, do not promise results such as “guaranteed selection”, and use the year or month only when the content has actually been updated for that period.

News Reporting and Attribution

News updates name the source of the information and the date of the decision. We do not publish rumours from WhatsApp groups or social media as facts.

Images, Screenshots and Downloads

Images are illustrative or our own. We do not create images that look like official government documents, and we do not host fake forms. Any screenshots of official portals are used only to explain steps and contain no personal data.

Dates and Time-Sensitive Information

Core guides show a “Last updated” date. When a phase ends or a rule changes, the page is updated, merged into a newer guide or removed.

Content Review and Update Schedule

ContentReview frequency
Core PAVE guidesOn every official change, and at least monthly during active phases
Price pagesRegularly; month of last check shown
NewsNot rewritten later, but updated with a note if facts change
Policy pagesAt least every six months

Corrections Policy

When we get something wrong, we fix it promptly and update the page date. Significant corrections (wrong amount, date or rule) are noted on the page.

Report an Error

Email us at sammar.abbas11@gmail.com or use our Contact Us page with the subject “Correction Request”, the page link and an official source if available.

How We Use Artificial Intelligence and Automation

We may use AI tools to help with research summaries, drafting and language checks. AI never decides facts: every figure, date and rule is checked by a human against sources, and every scheme guide is reviewed by our editor before publishing.

Originality and Added Value

We do not copy articles from other websites. We add value through clear steps, tables, calculators, comparisons and context that help readers act correctly.

What We Do Not Publish

  • Fake or look-alike application forms or “verification” pages
  • Requests for CNIC, passwords, OTP or bank details
  • Promises of guaranteed selection or subsidy
  • Unverified claims presented as fact
  • Content copied from other publishers

Independence and Conflicts of Interest

PAVE.pk is not paid by any government body, bank or EV maker to publish scheme information. If a commercial relationship ever exists with a company mentioned on a page, it will be disclosed on that page.

Advertising and Commercial Content

The site is supported by display advertising (such as Google AdSense). Advertisers have no influence on editorial content. We do not use pop-ups, forced redirects or deceptive ads.
